NEW BUSINESS
6 Sargent Place – Harden – Regrading Application
Taylor Mavers, Paul’s Nursery, presented the building application for 6 Sargent place which includes a portico, proposed on grade terrace, proposed exterior alterations, proposed relocation of retaining wall and ac units. The only portion of the application up for approval was the re-grading application which was approved by the Board.
In addition, Mayor Ceriello provided Ms. Mavers with the following suggestions when resubmitting the remaining portion of this application to the BAC.
· Mayor suggested revision of the landscape plan as the proposed arborvitae hedge in the front yard (two front yards for a corner lot) will not be approved since the village code prohibits perimeter hedges of one plant species.
· The tree removal application will be approved, however, Mayor Ceriello asked that the updated landscape plan indicate a new replacement tree on the right of way (no specific species).
· The proposed Nicolock paving stone will also not be approved by the BAC and should be replaced with a natural stone.
Cail – 748 Hunt Lane - Fence application backyard/pool
After a long discussion, the homeowner/contractor and the Mayor decided it was best to meet with Anthony DiProperzio, Village Code Enforcement Officer.
*Homeowner has since withdrawn the original application and submitted an amended application to “repair the existing fence” to bring it to code.
Tulmieri – BAC Appeal – Walkway/18 Martin Place
The Board did not approve the concrete pavers at 18 Martin Place, and the homeowner (Tulmieri) will have to modify the walkway/steps/stoop to bring to Village Code.
