MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING 

OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES 

held on July 10, 2024

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

 

A Motion to open the Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, and called to order at 7:30 pm and approved by all.

 

MINUTES 

A motion to approve the minutes for June 12, 2024, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi, and approved by all. 

NEW BUSINESS

POOL FENCE APPLICATION (HAN/CAI)

Application for a pool fence at 748 Hunt Lane was adjourned until September as the resident did not appear before the Board.

NEW ACTING VILLAGE JUSTICE

Mayor Ceriello made a motion, seconded by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and approved by all to appoint Colin Ceriello as the new Acting Village Justice.  Colin will substitute for Judge John Turano, when needed, which typically is one evening per calendar year. 

JIMMY’S RUN

The Board approved the annual Jimmy’s Run which will take place on Sept.22 from 10:00am-11:00am.  The route will continue to be the same as last year and the Town of North Hempstead along with the Sixth Precinct will assist with traffic flow.

MAYOR’S REPORT

The Mayor is meeting with Jim Antonelli, Village Engineer, to finalize the bid books and initiate the bid process to begin the next phase of the Village’s road restoration project.  

 

REPORTS

·         JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for June 2024 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $2176.00

·         BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2024 to July 3, 2024 a total of 15 permits have been issued totaling $17,166.00 in Building Permit Fees.

·         POLICE REPORT:  The Police Report for June 2024 notes no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, no Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 43 summonses (30 Movers and 13 Parkers). 

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee Williams and unanimously approved at 7:48 pm.
