MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 7:30 PM

Mayor Ceriello led the Board and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Motion to open the Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee Im and approved by all. The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:42 p.m.
MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes for December 11, 2024, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello & seconded by Trustee Im and unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
COYNE
Mr. Coyne appeared before the Board to present his application to install a removable fence at 385 Ryder Road. After a lengthy discussion, Mayor Ceriello determined that further conversation with Anthony DiProperzio, Village Code Enforcer, was necessary before the Board could vote on this application.
ELECTION
Mayor Ceriello reminded the BOT that the nominating petitions for the next village election are due in Village Hall on February 11, 2025. The Village Elections will be on March 18th and the candidates running will be seeking three positions (1) Mayor and (2) Trustees.
ELECTION INSPECTORS
The Board of Trustees adopted the following resolution, read by Mayor Ceriello and carried as follows:
RESOLVED, that pursuant to section 15-116 of the NYS Election Law, this Board does hereby appoint the following persons to serve as Inspectors of Election on Election Day, March 18, 2025 from Noon to 9 pm:
Karen Ghaffari – 55 Dartmouth Road, Manhasset & Deanna Chantly – 100 Knickerbocker Road, Manhasset
and it was further
RESOLVED, that compensation shall be at the rate of $225 per day

VILLAGE REPORTS
· JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for December 2024 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $3,787.
· BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2024, to Jan. 3, 2025, a total of 89 permits have been issued totaling $326,848 in Building Permit Fees.
· POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for November 2024 notes no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, (1) Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 27 summonses (25 Movers and 2 Parker).

A Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and unanimously approved at 8:16 p.m.
