Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Motion to open the Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi, and called to order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:35 pm and approved by all.
MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes for the December 13, 2023, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all.
NEW BUSINESS
55 Trumbull Road
Mr. Khameni appealed to the Board and explained that the glass on sidelight broke/water damage, which prompted him to immediately replace the door/sidelight in same color/style, but he did not apply for a permit and subsequently did not receive BAC approval on new materials. Deputy Mayor D’Angelo made a motion to legalize the front door and sidelight at 55 Trumbull Road (Khameni) seconded by Trustee Im and approved by all.
76 Kensett Road (Melvin Residence)
TJ Costello/Steven Carbone, Hierarchy Architects, presented the proposed work to level rear yard at 76 Kensett Road by excavating existing grade and adding a stone retaining wall. A motion to approve the grading and stone wall application was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi, and approved by all.
1681 – 1699 Northern Boulevard
Vivian Moo, Representative Forest Avenue Commons, appealed to the Board after receiving a summons from the Village of Munsey Park Cout for violation of Ordinance 200-33 of the MP Village Code in that a dumpster was placed in a rear parking area reserved for automobiles. Forest Avenue Commons is asking the BOT to allow/designate one to two parking spots to hold their dumpster. Mayor Ceriello agreed that the dumpster issue needed to be addressed as well as the overall condition of the Munsey Park Center and that he would further discuss option with the Village Code Enforcer, T. Diproperzio. (As of 2/7/2024 the application to designate a parking space has since been withdrawn by Forest Ave. Commons).

ELECTION INSPECTORS
A motion to approve the election inspectors: Karen Ghaffari and Deanna Chantly both residents of Manhasset for the Village Election on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Village Hall from Noon to 9 PM was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and approved by all. The compensation rate for the day will be $200 and dinner will be provided.
ASSISTANCE WITH SNOW REMOVAL
Mayor Ceriello made a motion for the Village to hire a part-time employee to plow on as needed bases at a salary to be determined by Mayor’s approval, seconded by Trustee Im and approved by all.
MAYOR’S REPORT
Mayor Ceriello reported that renovations to Village Hall are mostly complete except the shutters need to be ordered/installed and some small open items.
FINANCIAL REPORTS
· JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for December 2023 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $3,069.
· BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2023 to January 3, 2024 a total of 93 permits have been issued totaling $98,186.00 in Building Permit Fees.
Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee Im and unanimously approved at 8:29pm.
