MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, Seconded by Trsutee Im and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:40 pm and approved by all.

 MINUTES

 A motion to approve the minutes for the April 13, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting was made by Trustee LiCalzi, Seconded by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and approved by all.

 NEW BUSINESS

GIRL SCOUTS – TROOP 560

Troop 560 came before the Board to present their group project to create a sustainable garden in Copley Pond as well as construct several robin boxes.   Georgia Katsoulis will be reaching out to Ted Bouzalis to coordinate the days the girls will be working in the park.

MOLINARO – 345 KENSETT ROAD

Mr. Molinaro returned to speak to the Board to present an amendment to an existing fence permit.  The Board approved the new permit for a six-foot fence, using the same previously approved material and located on the property line that abuts the Village of Flower Hill.        

FULGIERI – 29 ALSTON PLACE

The Board approved the gate application presented by Manie Fulgieri of 29 Alston Place.   The gates on each side will be round top with matching posts and the 10-foot gate will be screened on both sides with landscaping. 

 PRESENTATION – ELECTRICAL INFRASRUCTURE

Alex Allimonos, ACA Electric, came before the Board to discuss options to upgrade the electrical infrastructure within the Village.  After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that Alex would create a cost analysis/timeline of upgrading the lighting in the parks and return to present his proposal to the Board.

END OF THE YEAR BUDGET TRANSFERS

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo presented the Budget transfers as of May 10, 2022 (see attached).

 PUBLIC SAFETY

  • POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for March 2022 notes two (2) Auto Accidents, no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, three Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 59 summonses (55 Movers and 4 Parkers). 

  • JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for April 2022 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $2,545.00.

  • BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2021 to May 5, 2022 a total of 167 permits have been issued totaling $259,636.47 in Building Permit Fees.

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Trutsee LiCalzi seconded by Trustee IM and approved by all at 9:12 PM.
