MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

 Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, Seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:42 pm and approved by all.

 MINUTES

 A motion to approve the minutes for the February 9, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all.

 NEW BUSINESS

 21 KENSETT ROAD

Thomas Fox, architect, came before ethe Board to discuss the regrading of a new house to replace the existing at 21 Kensett. The present site is eight (8) feet above curb level and goes down on all sides (two neighbors, Waldmann Park at rear and Flower Hill on the north side).  The existing hill poses run-off issues to the existing driveway and to the adjacent properties.  In addition, the homeowner would like to have a backyard patio at grade.  The new home will remain on a slight hill four (4) feet above grade level.   Motion to approve the re-grading plans at 21 Kensett Road was made by Trustee Williams, Seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and carried as follows:

INTRODUCE LOCAL LAW 1 – 2022

 Mayor Ceriello announced the proposal of Local Law 1 – 2022 pursuant to subdivision 5 of General Municipal Law 3-c, which expressly authorizes a local government’s governing body to override the property tax cap for the coming fiscal year by the adoption of a local law approved by a vote of sixty (60%) of said governing body.  There will be a public hearing and vote on this local law, known as proposed Local Law 1 – 2022 at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees on April 13, 2022.

SCA FAIR

Mayor Ceriello announced that the annual SCA Fair will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9 AM to 5 PM in the Munsey Park School Field.  The Village will provide and place “No Parking Signs” on designated Munsey Park Streets the day of the fair. 

 EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting to go into Executive Session to discuss potential litigation was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Mayor Ceriello and approved by all at 8:16 PM.

Motion to resume the Board of Trustees Public Meeting and close Executive Session was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all at 8:38 PM.

 FINANCIAL REPORT

PRESENTATION OF TENTATIVE BUDGET

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and the Board discussed the presented budget.  The following items were changed:

  • Aim (NYS Revenue Sharing) $10,547

  • Chips $182,806

  • (SLFRF) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds $138,409

  • Holiday decorating $7,500

  • Regroup Trees to reflect $45,000

 

MAY 31, 2021 AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

The Mayor announced that the Board will vote to approve the May 31, 2021 Audited Financial Statements at the Annual Meeting held on April 13, 2022.

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT

  • POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for February 2022 was presented by Trustee Williams, stating 1 Auto Accident, no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, two Larceny-Auto incident, no Larceny (other than auto), none Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 18 summonses (15 Movers and 3 Parkers). 

  • JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for February 2022 was presented by Trustee Williams with total fines assessed in the amount of $3,135.00.

  • BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report was presented by Trustee Williams, stating that between June 1, 2021 to February 25, 2022 a total of 129 permits have been issued totaling $187,324.44 in Building Permit Fees.

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Trustee Williams, seconded by Mayor Ceriello and approved by all at 9:15 PM
