MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes February 12, 2025, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello & seconded by Trustee Im and unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
PRESENTATION OF PROPOSED BUDGET
The Board presented the proposed 2025/2026 budget and comments/questions were taken by the public. The Mayor highlighted that the proposed budget includes no tax increase. In addition, budgeted capital improvements projects for the year include construction of a new salt garage and sidewalk renovation. The Board will vote on the proposed budget at a public hearing/annual meeting on April 9, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Village Hall.
FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
A motion to approve the year-end financial reports for the Village and Justice Court was made by Trustee LiCalzi, seconded by Mayor Ceriello and approved by all.
SCA FAIR
The Mayor announced that the annual SCA fair will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024,
from 9am to 6pm, with a rain date of May 5th on the Munsey Park School Field. The Village will assist with installing no parking signs in designated areas.
JIMMY’S RUN
A motion was made by Mayor Ceriello to approve Jimmy’s Run on Sunday, May 18, 2025, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all. The run will take place largely on the streets of Munsey Park. The run is scheduled to begin at Mary Jane Davies Park at 10:00 am and should conclude by 10:45 am. There will be road closures on Park Avenue, Morse Lane, Hunt Lane and Manhasset Woods Road. Jimmy’s Run is sponsored by the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund and is named in honor of a young resident, Jimmy Regan, who gave his life in service to our country.
FUN RUN
A motion was made by Mayor Ceriello to approve the Munsey Park Fun Run, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all. The 15th Annual Kids Charity Fun Run & Fair will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM (with road closures starting at 8:30 AM and ending approximately at 9:45 AM). The race will begin and end at Polliwog Pond. The roads that will be affected by closures are:
Kensett (at Trumbull to Blackburn)
Trumbull (dead-end to Waldo)
Abbey (between Trumbull & Kensett)
Barnard (entire street)
Waldo (entire street)
Bingham (entire street)
Blackburn (Kensett to Waldo)
The event course will remain the same as in previous years.
OUTGOING BOARD MEMBERS
Mayor Ceriello thanked two outgoing members of the Board of Trustees, Joe Williams and Antonio D’Angelo, as well as the Chairperson of the Building Advisory Committee (BAC), Joe Russo, for all their years of service and dedication to the residents of Munsey Park.
VILLAGE REPORTS
· JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for February 2025 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $1,836.00.
· BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2024, to March 6, 2025, a total of 108 permits have been issued totaling $343,433 in Building Permit Fees.
· POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for January 2025 notes no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, One (1) Larceny-Auto incident, (1) Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 16 summonses (16 Movers and 0 Parkers).

A Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello seconded by Trustee Williams and unanimously approved at 9:25 p.m.
