A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and called to Order at 7:33 PM.
MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes for the December 8, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and approved by all.
MAYOR’S REPORT
The Mayor recognized the road crew and thanked them for all their efforts during last week’s snow storm.
CARTING CONTRACT
Mayor Ceriello reminded the Board that the Village’s current five-year garbage contract ends in May. Request for Proposals (RFP) will be announced and posted publicly requesting contractors to submit bids on a possible 3/5/7-year contract. The Mayor will continue the discussion regarding the specifications of the RFP at the February meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Deputy Mayor D’Angelo reported that the Village is above budget in terms of revenue. Currently, he is working on a preliminary budget for the next fiscal year.
PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT
POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for November 2021 was presented by Trustee Williams, stating 1 Auto Accidents, no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, no Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 26 summonses (21 Movers and 5 Parkers).
JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for October 2021 was presented by Trustee Williams with total fines assessed in the amount of $3,386.
BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report was presented by Trustee Williams, stating that between June 1, 2021 and, January 6, 2022, a total of 115 permits have been issued totaling $166,935.00 in Building Permit Fees.
NEW BUINESS
AC COMPRESSOR
Resident, Malinda Gillan, came before the Board to discuss Permit Number: 8962 (AC Compressor). After much discussion, the Mayor will confer with Anthony DiProperzio, Munsey Park’s Code Enforcement Officer, regarding the placement of the AC Compressor and subsequent screening.
RESOLUTION APPROVING ELECTIONS INSPECTORS
Mayor Ceriello proposed the following resolution: RESOLVED, that pursuant to section 15-116 of the NYS Election Law, this Board does hereby appoint the following persons to serve as Inspectors of Election on Election Day, March 15, 2022 from Noon to 9 pm: Karen Ghaffari – 55 Dartmouth Road, Manhasset and Deanna Chantly – 100 Knickerbocker Road, Manhasset and it was further RESOLVED, that compensation shall be at the rate of $200 per day.
Deputy Mayor made a motion to adopt said resolution, seconded by Mayor Ceriello and approved as follows:
