Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, Seconded by Trustee Im and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:41 pm.
MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes for the April 14, 2021 and the May 12, 2021 Board of Trustees Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all.
SCHOOL GROUND MAINTENACE
A resident on Hunt Lane spoke before the Board to discuss the lack of maintenance and deterioration of the Munsey Park School property. The homeowner asked that the BOT assist her with communicating to the school district the importance of properly maintaining their property. Deputy Mayor D’Angelo assured the homeowner that he would call the Manhasset School District Administration and have the matter rectified.
MAYOR’S REPORT
LOCAL LAW 1, 2, 3 - 2021
Mayor Ceriello will be presenting legislation for three local laws at the July meeting. Local Law 1 – 2021 opting out of allowing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments from locating within the Incorporated Village of Munsey Park. Local Law 2 – 2021 prohibiting smoking and/or tobacco use upon property owned and/or controlled by the Incorporated Village of Munsey Park. Local Law 3 – 2021 designating “Protected Streets” and governing the requirements for excavations to be performed thereof.
ROAD UPDATE
Mayor Ceriello reported that the upgraded water main has been installed on Park Avenue and MLWD are currently connecting individual homes to that main. In addition, the bids have been received for the third phase of the road improvement project which includes the repaving of Park Avenue from Manhasset Woods Road to the traffic light at Abbey Road. The lowest bid received was for $151,224 by John McGowan and Sons.
A motion to enter a contract with McGowan and Sons for the work specified in the bid package was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo and seconded by Trustee Im and approved as follows:

BOY SCOUTS
Mayor Ceriello recognized three Munsey Park residents: John J. Palmadessa, Alexander Mario Boutzalis and Michael Phelps on their distinct honor of becoming an Eagle Scout. The Mayor proclaimed that Wednesday, June 9th be declared a day of special recognition throughout Munsey Park to honor these Eagle Scouts and all of their accomplishments.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Deputy Mayor D’Angelo reported that the two highlighted expense items for this month were the Village Engineer, Jim Antonelli, for the current road project and automotive repairs to the Navistar Truck. Deputy Mayor D’Angelo also updated the BOT on the purchase of a new F550 Dump Truck to replace the two-salter trucks.

A motion to approve the block party application for Revere Road n Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 4 PM to 8 PM was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, seconded by Trustee Im and approved as follows:

MOVIE NIGHT
Trustee Im reported that the Munsey Park Woman’s Club (MPWC) will be hosting Movie Night on June 22, 2021. The Village will incur the cost for the movie/projector fees of approximately $900. The MPWC will provide snacks to attendees. Trustee Im will follow up with exact details and will send out an email to Village residents. A motion to approve The MPWC Movie Night on June 22, 2021 (Rain date of June 24th) in Waldmann Park was made by Mayor Ceriello seconded by Trustee Williams and approved as follows:

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT
POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for April 2021was presented by Trustee Williams, stating 3 Auto Accidents, no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, no Larceny (other than auto), one Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 28 summonses (28 Movers and 0 Parkers).
BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report was presented by Trustee Williams, stating that between June 1, 2021 and June 8, 2021 a total of 4 permits have been issued totaling $8,255 in Building Permit Fees.
JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for May 2021 was presented by Trustee Williams with total fines assessed in the amount of $4,223.00.
Motion to close the Board of Trustees meeting was made by Deputy Mayor Antonio D’Angelo seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all at 8:46 PM.
